About Me
I'm Jeannie Dilworth, a Connecticut-based advanced psychiatric nurse practitioner with nearly three decades navigating the intricate landscape of the human mind.
My journey here, however, was anything but linear. Prior to my professional career, I spent time working for the Pennsylvania Senate as a Transportation Specialist, spray-painting subways in NYC as a graffiti artist, and hanging out in Colorado as a petroleum “landman” which allowed me to fly fish daily in Boulder Canyon!

My practice philosophy is informed by many wise mentors, evidence-based sciences which includes nursing, contemplative practices, somatics, intuition, being in nature, hanging out with my dogs, astrology and energy medicine. I believe that everyone deserves to tell their story and I will genuinely listen.

EDUCATION HISTORY: In the 1980’s, I had friends that were dying from the AIDs epidemic so I started to do volunteer work for various AIDS/HIV agencies. I became fascinated with psychoneuroimmunology which is the study of the effect of mind on health. The profession of nursing called to me as it embraced my values of looking at the whole person and the power of the mind-body connection. In the early 90’s, I enrolled in UCONN School of Nursing. As an Honors Scholar at UCONN, I researched the effect of humor on health. And created a Humor Cart that was used on a dedicated AIDS unit. I graduated Summa cum Laude and to this day I believe laughter is the best medicine. Yale School of Nursing became my next step for my Master’s focused on Psychiatric symptoms in the HIV population.
I am an avid learner and have studied nutritional psychiatry, medical intuition, death and dying, embodied movement and most recently completed Stott Pilates instructor training. Movement is my medicine, and I practice what I preach.

I have an interest in trauma, grief and loss as I experienced my own family tragedy that shattered my vision of how the Universe operates. I have taken the time to heal and work on myself through the years (and yes, that means therapy and trauma specific interventions such as EMDR) so I do understand what it feels like to be deeply wounded. I believe we are all wounded warriors. I also know it is possible to move forward with tragedy and loss and still have a meaningful and purposeful life.
I am also a certified Psychedelic-Assisted Psychotherapist through Integrative Psychiatric Institute (IPI) and that means I have studied the art and science of healing with Ketamine, Psilocybin and MDMA. I currently work with oral and intramuscular ketamine in addition to provided ketamine-assisted psychotherapy.

My therapeutic approach is an eclectic blend – medication management interwoven with the guidance of a lifestyle coach and the empathy of a therapist, complemented by insights into nutrition, supplementation, and the transformative power of movement.
I'm here to walk alongside you on your journey toward wholeness.
